Voice Surgery is a surgery that requires a special team and equipment. Diseases of the vocal cords, whose function is movement, basically disrupt the movement function of the vocal cord. Even if the surgery is a simple polyp, an important part of surgical success in all surgical interventions to be performed on the vocal cords is to achieve a good voice, just as the success of surgery of a mass removed from the eye is to see the eye in addition to removing the mass.. There are different categories of voice surgeries.

The first category is surgical procedures aimed at removing a mass (polyp, nodule, cyst).Since such masses are considered benign tumoral structures, the main goal will be to preserve the voice and use it in a better way after surgery. Therefore, performing the surgery with a short biopsy procedure may not give the desired result in terms of postoperative functions. For this purpose, microsurgical methods and techniques can be used to preserve the structure of the vocal cord and to better realize vibration after surgery. However, in order to use these methods, appropriate surgical instruments and equipment are required.

The second group of surgeries are those performed for vocal cord paralysis related to the closure of the vocal cords. Here, various applications are performed for vocal cord closure disorders.Dr. İlter DENİZOĞLU modified and applied in our country by using the “leg muscle fascia” injection method, the vocal cord approximation surgery is performed through the mouth without any intervention to the laryngeal structure from the neck.

Another category is applications for congenital depressions in the vocal cords called fret or sulcus.
